Experience that delivers results.

I'm Jennifer Tangco, Founder & Managing Director of Lumena & Co.

I founded Lumena because I believe organizations deserve advisors who've actually led through the challenges they're facing, not just studied them.

Over the past 20+ years, I've led enterprise transformation, operational excellence, post-merger integrations, and large-scale business initiatives across complex organizations. I've been accountable for results, responsible for people, and trusted to lead through growth, uncertainty, and change.

Those experiences shaped how I advise today.

Strategy matters. Execution delivers results.

Leadership built through experience.

Throughout my career, I've learned that sustainable growth doesn't happen because organizations have better ideas.

It happens because leaders align strategy, operations, people, and execution around a common direction.

I've had the privilege of leading enterprise transformation across 190 sites supporting more than 9,000 employees, launching continuous improvement programs across 16 million square feet in four countries, and leading complex post-merger integrations involving operations, systems, people, and processes.

Most recently, I served as Vice President of Transformation & Change Management and Vice President of Centre of Excellence at Metro Supply Chain, following executive leadership roles including Vice President of Supply Chain & Logistics at Sears.

In 2023, I was honoured to be recognized as one of the Top 10 Women in Supply Chain, after previously being named among the Top 100 in 2021. Those milestones are especially meaningful because they came from an industry I deeply respect and to which I've dedicated most of my career.

Today, I partner with CEOs, founders, and executive teams to solve complex business challenges, helping them turn strategy into execution, align their organizations, and build businesses that are positioned for sustainable growth.

How I work.

No two organizations are the same.

That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all frameworks or recommendations that sit on a shelf.

Every engagement begins with understanding what's really happening beneath the surface.

Sometimes the challenge appears operational but is rooted in leadership.

Sometimes a people issue is actually a process issue.

Sometimes growth exposes weaknesses that were already there.

My role is to help leaders see the whole picture, simplify complexity, and build practical solutions that organizations can execute with confidence.

I'll challenge assumptions when necessary.

I'll ask difficult questions.

And I'll always tell you what you need to hear, not simply what you want to hear.

Why Lumena?

Lumena was intentionally built to give organizations direct access to experienced executive leadership, not layers of intermediaries.

When you work with Lumena, you work directly with me.

I stay involved throughout every phase of an engagement, from understanding the problem to helping execute the solution.

When specialized expertise is needed, I bring together trusted senior specialists with deep experience in their respective disciplines.

This approach gives clients access to the right expertise without the layers, handoffs, or bureaucracy often associated with larger firms.

Because meaningful transformation requires trusted partnerships, not just recommendations.

Beyond the boardroom

What continues to inspire me most is helping leaders build healthier organizations where people can do their best work.

Whether that's navigating growth, leading through change, developing stronger leadership teams, or improving operational performance, business results and people outcomes should never be treated as competing priorities. The strongest organizations achieve both.

Beyond client work, I'm passionate about developing leaders, mentoring emerging talent, championing women in business, and speaking on leadership, transformation, operational excellence, and business growth. Sharing practical experience, challenging conventional thinking, and elevating others are some of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
